Product Description

Honeycomb ceramics

Ceramic honeycombs are applied as heat storage media in regenerative thermal processes to recover thermal energy. Typical
application examples are thermal air pollution abatement systems based on regenerative thermal oxidiation (RTO), thermal
regenerators for process gases, heat storage media for decentralised Regenerative Housing Ventilation systems (RHV) or heat
storage applications in renewable energy generation.

Honeycomb ceramics can be made from a variety of materials. The main materials are: cordierite, mullite, aluminum titanate,
activated carbon, silicon carbide, activated alumina, zirconia, silicon nitride, and composite substrates such as
cordierite-mullite, cordierite-aluminum titanate, etc.

Honeycomb ceramics can be divided into four categories according to their use: heat storage bodies, fillers, catalyst carriers and
filter materials.
